Welcome to our first Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where players can test out their characters' voices, try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

Dinah! Dinah! Dinah! -Stomp stomp stomp, the voice and sound of boots on the stairs signaled it pretty well. Kagerou had arrived and she was excited about something. The wolf-woman was a seamstress herself, so they had quite a bit to bond over, so it was no surprise she spent time with the girl.

As she came up the stairs, she had a huge wooden box strapped to her back, thankful to be late into the moon cycle so she had the strength to carry it.-

I found something that's gonna make your life easier!

[She is by no means a morning person, even after trying to adjust her sleep schedule after she arrived. Kagerou's boisterous arrival causes her to jump and almost spill her mug of coffee. Fortunately she recovers quickly enough to shuffle over to the door and open it for her fellow seamstress.]

Well with how excited you are about it I would certainly hope it helps.

-With a groan, Kagerou set down the wooden case. It seemed to be two boxes, one larger with a smaller one on top of it. She began removing the side paneling, and it soon became obvious what the werewolf had happened to obtain...

A treadle.-

Ta-daaaa~

[Both the treadle and the gesture of bringing it to her have taken Dinah by surprise.]

How on earth did you manage to get that?

[She had looked when she first decided to set up shop and come up empty handed. After that experience she just assumed that given the look of this world she was never going to get a machine.]

Some ship was gonna toss it overboard because it was too heavy and wouldn't sell on market! Can you believe it? So I salvaged it.

I'm... not sure it works, though.

I'm not exactly well-versed in using one of these either, so it's no great loss if it doesn't work right away. And if it doesn't I'd think there's someone on this island bright enough to figure it out.

[Otherwise she doesn't have much hope for its residents. Not that she had a whole lot to begin with, but it would be lowered. She takes another sip of her coffee before giving the other a smile.]

Hey, anything for a friend and source of pretty dresses, right! This way, I figure if we split the work, we can really take off!

Just having enough work to keep the place going and keep me occupied would be enough for me. I'm not out to make work my life again.
