Welcome to our first Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where players can test out their characters' voices, try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

[stop being so damn young. That wiggly little heart thing? Please. He hasn't seen anyone do that in ages.]

Well I can't keep a chef from his palette. [he hands the fish out to the tense little blond, angling so he's almost bowing]

For you, ma petite. Make it good.

...Seriously?

[What, you're just going to give it to him now? WELL, he's not gonna argue that, though he is slightly wary as he takes it.]

Thanks. [Pause.] And don't call me that, geez, what the hell. I ain't your little anything.

[thatched]

Damn and here I thought I'd get you all riled up. [he laughs and straightens, taking a moment to light a cigar since he's there]

Well, matey, first I'll introduce myself. I'm Thatch of the Whitebeard Pirates, not that it makes much of a difference in this world. And if you're planning to taste test that fish, I'd be a willing subject. Haven't had a good meal in a long while.

Tch. Riled up—

[Wait, what?

Whitebeard?

Surely he did not just say Whitebeard.]

...I'm sorry, the what pirates?

[thatched]

[so he did know of the Whitebeards. Imagine that. But Thatch wasn't sure what to do with this reaction....]

I think you heard me the first time. [he narrows his eyes a fraction] Have a problem with that name, matey?

No...no problem.

[He thinks. Whitebeard, though... But hey, that at least means there ARE some other people from his world here. Maybe he'll be able to find his crew after all.

For now he's casually looking away and pulling out a new cigarette, lighting it and taking a quick drag before speaking again.]
