Welcome to our first Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where players can test out their characters' voices, try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

[The Kid hoisted his (somewhat oversized) hammer over his shoulder as he sized up the oncoming storm. He wasn't one to complain about his work, but all things considered, he'd rather not have to patch up the ship again.]

[He piped up in a casual drawl]

Uh, Cap'n. I think maybe we should try'n avoid the storm if it's all th' same to you.

[He glances back at the main sails. They're going to be catching a lot wind if they don't change course quickly enough]

Or at least take in somma th' sails.

Yes, yes. The storm! [Waves her hand haphazardly.] We'll avoid this time!

[She looks at him.]

Why don't you make yourself useful and do that! The more hands to help, the less likely we'll be in the Locker.

[The Kid grunts wordlessly and turns back to the mast. He wasn't much of a leader, but he was a doer, so as long as those were his orders. He strapped the hammer to his back, and started climbing the mast.]

Alright, keep 'er steady.

[Grell tries, turning the wheel, but a particularly rough wave is making that pretty hard, as it's going against their turn. The rocks hard, but she keeps the wheel steady. Just like he suggested!]
