Welcome to our first Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where players can test out their characters' voices, try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

Haha I don't have one yet! I have a barrel though!

[spohkh]

[....

.....Spock was silent for a moment.]

I see. Then it is rather difficult to have a crew without a ship, is it not? I doubt you can sail that barrel.

[allendsmeat]

You can paddle it. [yep] But when I find my crew we'll get a bigger ship. Maybe Franky will make one. [he folds his arms behind his head]

What kind of stuff would you like?

[spohkh]

[Another confused look.]

You will have to be more specific. What do you mean by 'stuff'?

[Stuffy Vulcan was stuffy.]

[allendsmeat]

On the ship! Franky can make anything you want! Even if it's something boring like a library.

[spohkh]

[Spock opened his mouth, about to argue that 'Frankie' could most likely not build the books that went into that library... but thought better of it.
This young man has been nothing but... pleasant since the start of their meeting, he may as well not be contrary.]

Do you think that he could build a telescope? I could learn much about this place from its stars.

[Spock had many constellations memorized. If he could find a familiar constellation then he may be able to find out where he was.]

[allendsmeat]

Yeah probably!

[And if Franky couldn't make it he could probably find it somehow.]

Do you know a lot about stars?

[spohkh]

Indeed I do. If this place is at all familiar, I will be able to tell that from the stars.
You have experience with a ship though, do you not? Have you never used the stars to guide you?

[Spock was warming up to this young man.... unfortunately.]

[allendsmeat]

I haven't but maybe Nami has. [who can say what mysterious things she does]

I just think they're pretty. You know some of them make pictures and have stories about them!

[he didn't find this out until recently and he still thinks its really cool]

[spohkh]

I must admit.... you are unlike any Captain I have ever met, pirate or otherwise.
[Because Spock? He's met more than his fair share of space pirates.]

It makes me wonder what the rest of your crew is like.
I believe I would like to meet them.

[allendsmeat]

Shishishi You will when we find them. They're all really cool.

[now if only he knew where to look]

[Spock regards the awkwardly perched barrel of apples...

..and grew suspicious.]

Where did you acquire that barrel of apples?

[allendsmeat]

[Oh! He forgot he still had that. He eats an apple]

I helped shopkeeper lady put them on the cart and she said I could have one cuz they're mostly all bad. [munch munch] But still tasty.

Want one?

[spohkh]

No, thank you.

Shall we find your other crew members?
[Spock wanted to assess their sanity before he made any other decisions.]

[allendsmeat]

[more for him]

Yeah, okay! I hope they came to this place, too, or we're going to be looking for a while!

[munch munch]

[spohkh]

[Spock blinked at him for a moment...]

They are not here? You mean you are not a native? Did you suddenly appear here as well?

[Spock had been slightly concerned that he was the only one.]

[allendsmeat]

Yeah. [nod] Just over there. [point] But I didn't see any of the others.

[spohkh]

I see.

Very well. If you are amenable, we can search together. Searching in numbers increases our probability of finding your crew.

[Yup, they were on a mission...and Spock started to walk forward.]

[allendsmeat]

Isn't amemable like those flowery things that sting you sometimes if you touch 'em?

[he nods though]

Yeah. And crew should stick together once they've met up. But you know, they're your crew, too.

[spohkh]

[Spock quirked an eyebrow... and almost looked amused as he regarded Luffy.]

'Amenable' is a form of agreement. To say that you are amenable, means that you are saying 'yes' to the suggestion.
And you seem quite adamant that I join your crew... You do not even know if I can sail a water-bound ship.
