Here is where new players can test out their characters' voices, old players can try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Nami l One Piece

[This had not been a good day. No, today absolutely sucked.

First she and her friends are all almost killed by that Kuma lookalike, then the Marines showed up, then the real Kuma appeared and sent several of the others away until it was her turn, and now she was just waking up in some place that she didn't at all recognize. The fact that she was feeling completely sore in every part of her body wasn't helping.

Despite how she felt right now, she had to move. She had to get back to Sabaody, back to her nakama. Without her, they couldn't navigate the ship. She had to be there to guide them. It was her duty as the Straw Hat's navigator.

So using her blue staff as support, she made her way through this strange town that she has landed in. She didn't care if anyone stared at her because of how dishelved she looked right now, she'd worry about it once she got back to the crew. Right now she just needed to get out of here.]

[Akira was currently busy enjoying a bit of lunch stolen from the open market. He figured that if natives were going to dislike newcomers by default, there was no reason to try and fight that stereotype. He fished a turkey drumstick out of the box, chewing into as he watched the girl walk by.]

...You okay? Do you...I don't know, need a hospital or something? You kinda' look like you lost a fight with a mack truck.

[He knew not everyone would get references to Earth vehicles, but a 20th century word set was hard to shake.]

[Nami turned when she heard the voice and she thought that she nearly heard her stomach growl at the aroma of food. But she instead turned back away.]

I'm fine. I just need to get out of here,a nd I'll be just fine.

[She started to move again, nearly stumbling as she took a step forward. She caught herself with her Clima Tact however and she mumbled a curse under her breath.]

Oh yeah, you're doin' fantastic. Picture of perfect health.

[Another lingering bite of delicious chicken.]

You just arrive, or what?

[Wow, the guy talked like Zoro. And him just eating in front of her was not helping her like this guy,]

Yes I did, and now I'm going to get out of... wherever this is.

That's gonna' be easier said than done. I'm pretty sure we all said that right after we got here, and not a single one of us has done it. Not that I've heard of, and believe me I've asked.

[Trying to reign in his natural tendency to mess with people was still a work in progress. Still, her stomach growl hadn't gone unnoticed by his extremely sensitive ears. He could still do the right thing.

He took one more bite, then extended his hand, letting her peer into the freshly cooked meat in the bin.]

Well, I don't know much about fixing people up, but I do have some extra chicken in this bucket. If you want some of it, that is. Better to be injured and full, than injured and hungry, right?

[She was about to retort that she didn't care if no one else got out, she would when the bin was offered to her. She stared down at it and her stomach growled again. This time she couldn't resist it, and it would be a bad idea to leave and end up starving.]

Fine.

[She reached in and pulled out a drumstick before allowing herself to sit down, placing her Clima Tact close by her. She took a bite out of it. It wasn't anything amazing like Sanji would make, but the second that she started chewing she started to feel better.

She then presumed to dig into the meat, too hungry to really care about table manners.]

Hah! They think they can take us?

[It might be a haughty thing to say, but there's no denying the look of confidence on the young warlord's face as he stands at the prow of the ship. He unfolds his arms, a hungry look on his face even as the first volley of cannonballs come flying towards them.

Most of them miss the mark, the waters erupting with tall bursts as they hit.]

...all right then.

[He doesn't even blink as a cannonball flies directly for the ship with no intention of missing. In the next breath Masamune leaps- to intercept it??

Yeah. That's the plan.

Metal rings sharply as the One-Eyed Dragon rips his blades from their sheaths, swinging them forward.]

TORYaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!

[Despite the explosion to follow (because why not explosions), a blue streak pierces through it, landing on the deck of the opposing ship because how dare you fire on him, man.

His single eye gleams as he settles into an at-ready stance with his blade raised and parallel to the ground.]

Date Masamune, charging in!

[He eyed the Clima Tact curiously, raising a bushy eyebrow.]

What the hell is that thing?

[She swallowed what was in her mouth before replying. She might as well be civil if this guy was willing to share food with her.]

It's my weapon, it's a staff with weather powers called the Perfect Clima Tact. My friend Usopp made it for me.

[She resumed eating.]

So...you just hit people with it? Like a bo staff?

Well I can, but that's not all that it can do. It has several other useful abilities.

Oh? What else, then? It's an old-school kinda' weapon. Do you guys have fire-arms or anything like that, where you're from?

Yeah, there are plenty of those kinds of things. What? Does this island not have any kind of those weapons?

[alwaysgrumpy]

They have them in this place, but nowhere near what I'm used to. This place is basically several eras back from where I was taken from, technology-wise. We have combustion engines, space-flight, advanced chemistry, all sorts of stuff.

Wind-powered sailing is something people do for fun, unless they're part of some isolated society.

[Okay, other than space-flight, she knew that those kinds of concepts existed, though wind-powered sailing was still considered the norm. But she was more baffled by the way that this guy was talking.

Where the heck did Kuma send her?]

Hey... what island is this anyways?

Isla Empieza. Same place we all ended up, apparently it's pretty common. You probably have money and a journal on you, too.

[He points up at the sky.]

Do you know anything about star formations, by any chance?

['All ended up'? Did this guy get hit by Kuma at a past date too? Does that mean that her friends were here?!

She abruptly stood up, feeling better enough to dot hat much as she looked straight at the dark-haired guy.]

Wait, back up. What do you mean by 'same place we all ended up'? Other people were sent here too?

[Nami wasn't the only one exploring the town. A much smaller figure would be following her close behind. The smell of blood was too great for the fox demon/god to ignore....

That damn fish! How dare it do that to her! Her own bloodied condition.... It was all that damn fish's fault! When she finds a way back, she is so going to devour that fish. But for now, she needs to get blood and ki to health herself and this strange female looks injured enough to make an easy pray.]

[Kodai has noticed Nami limping though the town. So she'll find a guy in a white uniform with a red stylized anchor and cuffs. Time for him to do his job as part of the welcoming committee.]


Do you need any help miss? You look like you were in one hell of a fight.

...Japan? Where is that at? Is it on the Grand Line?

[Oh please don;t tell her that she was sent off the Grand Line, that she did NOT need on top of everything else.]

[Though she managed to walk a little ways form the Town Square, it wasn't long before Nami felt like her body was ready to give out.. She paused to lean against the side of a building, holding the Clima Tact in both hands as she tried to get her breathing under control.

But in the process, she also caught the other figure from the corner of her eye. She turned her head and her eyes widened when she saw that the much smaller looking girl looked as bad as she did, maybe even worst.]

Hey kid, are... are you alright? Do you need help?

[She paused when she was approached, looking at who it was who approached her. But just as quickly, she turned back to resume pulling herself along.]

No thanks, I'm fine. [Takes a step forward, her grip tightening on her staff.] Thanks for the offer though.

Grand Line? Never heard of it. Are you not from Earth, then?
