Welcome to your monthly Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where new players can test out their characters' voices, old players can try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

[Sinbad appreciates the effort he puts into his stabbing, but laughs instead.]

You should know better by now Ja'far, I'm not going to die yet.

[Clearly, since he's gotten so big, Ja'far didn't assassinate him.]

Try and relax, we're going to have some fun.

I SAID PUT ME DOWN!!!! HOW DO YOU KNOW MY NAME, ANYWAY?!

[If at first you don't succeed at stabbing an old man in the leg, try try again.]

[He laughs some more, what an asshole. He hoists Ja'far up a little higher suddenly to stop him from stabbing. He smirks at him.]

Because I'm Sinbad and you're my adviser, only somehow you've gotten so teeny. It's really adorable you know. You're really boring when you get older, so let's have fun now!

[under_the_wire]

You're not Sinbad! You're old!

[Obviously. Maybe it's his crazy uncle or something.]

[nevermeddling]

I'm not old! [He frowns at Ja'far again.] Stop saying that!

I am Sinbad and when I know you now you're twenty-seven and a real stick in the mud. All you ever want to do is paperwork and make me do paperwork too. Sometimes you're such a-well, nevermind. I'd rather have fun and drink and spend time with all the women of the court. I can't get you to do anything like that.

[Definitely some crazy person. Well, Sinbad is pretty crazy himself, so maybe it's a family thing. That doesn't really bode well, considering he's decided to follow the guy.

Sinbad, that is. Not whoever the hell this is.

Ja'far stops struggling and hangs limply, trying to be as much of a dead weight as possible so that maybe he can just slip free or the guy will get tired of trying to carry him.]
