Welcome to your monthly Test Drive for
![[community profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png)
See you during the application round!
♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?
♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!
♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!
♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!
♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

Excuse me? [People just keep walking...]
Excuse me? [No good.]
[Then she spots you.] Excuse me? Can you tell me where we are? It's a long story, but I think I must have bumped my head.
[B: Later down by one of the very out of the way beaches, there's a freaking pinkish dragon laughing, doing loop de loops and roasting piles of fishes before throwing entire boulders or logs into the water.]
Ahahahaha! Take that! WEE!
[C: The manakete comes flying back with a quick happy roar.]
I found an island over there guys and it looks really fun!
B
I'm going to have to ask that you're a bit more careful, friend. I'm diving for large lobsters.

[You can tell this guy doesn't really belong here, either by the confused look on his face...or the fact that he's wearing a t-shirt and pajama pants in the middle of a pirate town.]
Hey...uh, can you tell me where--okay nevermind...Miss, hey! I'm a bit lost, can you tell me what town this is?
[Or that he's questioning everyone nearby. Care to help?]
On a ship!
[What happens when you take someone who's never been on a boat before and force him onto a sailing ship?
You get someone who can't walk. Or has a hard time walking, at least, because moving across the deck of a sailboat is not the same as walking across solid ground.
Perhaps, though, he just really likes hanging out around this one particular mast. Yeah.]
A!

FFFFFFFF SORRY FOR THE LATENESS!
Goin' with the popular vote of A, here...
Yep! I sure can. [Her smile brightens.] Isla Empieza's the name of this island, and it's where everyone wakes up.
[She pauses, putting a finger to the side of her face, her expression briefly turning to one of a bit more sympathy.] Heh...you must be new here. Don't worry, that confused feeling'll wear off, before you know it!
[She's giving an encouraging grin, now. She knows how hard it can be, when a person first arrives. She hasn't been here all that long, but she knows it's much easier to adapt to a scary situation when a person's...well...friendly.]
So many nice ladies

She can be a pirate! A mighty adventurer of the seas! And she will be the very first dragon pirate! DOUBLE BONUS!
Nowi is now going around and asking anybody and everyone if they are willing to join her crew! Just think of all the fun they will have together!
B: Somehow, someway she has a crew! Are they nearing land or another crew! No matter as Nowi is going to circle her own ship as a greenish-yellowish dragon, humming happily to herself. Come on and call her down from her flying.]

Well, if he is, then Mori has more to worry about than being kidnapped by Davy Jones. Basically, ain't nobody got time for freaking out. He turns his attention back to the journal, and then to finding his way around the streets after he's done a little more combing through it. ]
[Lost at Sea. ........who needs to stay on their ship anyway?
Oh, right. He does. In fact, he'd greatly prefer it.
Don't mind Mori here just paddling his rowboat towards whichever direction feels like it's housing his ship. He's got a turtle on his head and a fire of deep, moderately-stricken concern for the rest of the crew in his heart, and he'll jump out to swim the rest of the way if it gets him back in order faster. Or he'll jump out so he can push a rowboat full of fellow stranded crew members towards whichever direction feels right. Could go either way.
Hopefully it doesn't come to that, but he's totally willing. ]
[ Enemy Attack. WELP. They came invading, so they asked for it. Mori opts to skip the middleman in this instance by vaulting over the railing and taking the defense into enemy territory. It's rude as hell to lay siege to a ship just peacefully floating on by, isn't it? He has people to look out for on this vessel.
This is why he is casually working on shoving all the enemy cannons into the ocean.
It's a far cry from things back at Ouran (well. maybe not a far cry.), but sometimes a man needs to adapt to ensure a continued stability of existence. And stability, he can provide. ]
[literally whatever else you want.
I'm really easy like that tbh. ]
Lost at sea!
[But seeing a person in a rowboat of all things, she pauses! And does a few loops around.]
Hey Mister, are you all right?
That's a very cute turtle friend you found! [She's just saying, because she wants to play with it.]

Still, LARP even or not, that's no excuse to be rude, even if she does't have a period appropriate costume. ]
Uh, hi? [ Not even a glance in her direction. ] Excuse? [ Hm. Still nothing... ]
Yo...Ho ho? [ Alright, that seemed to stop at least one passerby, who gives her a curious stare. ] Okay, um,avast, ye... scurvy dog? I'm a pirate lookin' for me crew! [ And that's more than enough for that curious bystander to sigh, roll her eyes, and quickly scurry away, much to Julie's horror. ] Hey, wait! Geez, what's with everyone here?
[B: Life on a ship is pretty different compared to Motorcity or Deluxe. For one, it moves a lot more, and there's almost no time for breaks amidst checking up on everyone to make sure things are running smoothly. Going on another maintenance run, Julie makes a quick stop in the kitchen, cautiously glancing around before she moves in to treat herself to a quick snack.
Nobody's gonna mind if the maintenance girl is a few minutes late, right? ]
[ C: All Julie had to do was stay on the ship. Just avoid being pulled into any stupid, dangerous plans and stay on the ship. But, of course, she just had to go investigate a nearby island when it appeared on the horizon, and of course she had to insist on doing it all by herself to prove her skill as a pirate.
Unfortunately, while she could certainly drive, sailing wasn't exactly her forte, if the smashed rowboat on the sand beside her was any clue. She could at least forgive herself for getting stranded if the island had resources, but the only thing it had in any abundance was coconuts.
Hundreds of thousands of coconuts. ]
C
Wonderful. I'm sure my friends will enjoy these.

Sinbad | Magi
[This kid is walking around this new island with a huge grin on his face. What really gets Sinbad going is the thought of a new adventure. The island seems lush beyond the beach. He tucks his sword into the fabric around his waist and jumps off the ship into the sand. He loved the sea, but new places were just fun. Maybe there's a dungeon he can explore.]
B
[He wakes up in the Town Square, surprised by the change in location. The first thing he notices is that it isn't nearly as hot as he's used to. He sits up and looks around.
Luckily, his sword is on the ground near his hand, untouched. He picks it up and gets to his feet, looking around. What happened? How did he get here? No time like the present, it's best to ask around.]
A
He drops it on the sand before shaking off the water.]

Ja'far | Magi
[The ship's ledgers, neglected for so long because the captain has more important things on his mind, are now stacked neatly on the desk, all loose papers are bound and organized in piles alongside the books, all the maps have been placed in logical order in a drawer, and the rest of the desk is taken up by the one responsible for all the hard work, passed out asleep from overwork with an ink stain growing under one freckled cheek.]
B - 10 years old
[There seems to be a rather small boy by the fountain. A rather small, rather angry boy, with the lower half of his face wrapped in bandages so only his wide, rage-filled eyes can be seen.]
WHAT THE HELL?! WHERE THE HELL IS THIS PLACE?!
[Rather small, rather angry, and rather loud.]

[ B | Kitchen Duty: All she wanted to do was make her beloved crew a meal to express her appreciation for them. Instead, Luna found herself coated in flour, several burnt, salty cakes laid out on the dining table in the perfection example of how not to cook. Someone should probably stop her before she makes another ten carrot, broccoli and salt desserts. ]
[ C | Patching Up: After a particularly nasty fight, Luna's spent most of the day bandaging and babying her crew mates. To say she's exhausted is an understatement - she's physically and emotionally drained, looking like she could collapse at any minute from the hustle and bustle of the day - but there's still one more member of the crew who needs her attention. She politely knocks on your door, peeking her head in with a soft smile. ]
Excuse me, are you awake?
C - also oh my gosh, Luna ;u;
Upon entering the room, Luna will find the Grim Reaper sitting on the floor, leaning against the wall. His clothes are torn and covered in blood, but that doesn't seem to bother him in the slightest. Hearing the door creak, he turns to greet the visitor with a scowl on his face.]
... What the hell do you want?
Narcissa Black | Harry Potter
I like my lamb medium rare, with only a light drizzle of olive oil and rosemary. Smother it in that oil and I will make sure it's the last blunder you make; I want it roasted, not fried. Make sure that the vegetables compliment the dish. They should be fresh, harvested no less than two days ago.
[Narcissa spoke while she arranged her utensils properly. Oh, were you not her cook? You can't expect her to cook for herself.]
[B - Arrival]
[Narcissa can be seen within close proximity of someone, her wand in her raised hand, pointing straight into their neck. It was clearly an aggressive stance. If that wasn't enough to know that she was not happy with her circumstances, she also had a frown on her face and narrowed eyes.]
You will tell me why I can not return home, and you will not give me this rubbish of finding a ruby first.
[She dug her wand a bit further into the person's neck.]
And after all is settled the way it should be, you can expect a thorough investigation on the lot of you.
[Perhaps it's time to step in? Or maybe you're the poor victim of Narcissa's displeasure.]
[C - On the ship, scenario 2]
[Narcissa loathed this time on the ship. The constant salt air was far too harsh on both her skin and her hair. Of course it provided a natural exfoliant, but it was too much. It only proved to dry her out. Any products she obtained could only do so much. The quality was very poor, so she attempted to change them to make them better.
It wasn't like she had anyone to test it on, so in the enclosure of her room, she begrudgingly tried it on herself. The hopefully better shampoo was a very basic shampoo mixed with various herbs and oils. She attempted it on the end of a lock of hair first but when it started to tint her beautiful blond hair green, she quickly rinsed it off with the small basin of water next to her.]
No, no, come out.
[She demanded the dye, not knowing someone else probably heard her too.]

Leon Kennedy | Resident Evil
[You're getting this over the log, in voice, because it's Leon and he's not exactly going to be writing it if he doesn't have to, likely forcing the journal to listen to him, so there!]
Alright, this is a little annoying. I'm used to being dragged all over the place randomly, without permission, but the last thing I want to do is become a seafaring man. It's never a good idea to be trapped in such a small space with no alternatives.
Option B
Leon has decided he's just going to hide out somewhere for a time, which in a ship means little, so anyone looking for him can find him up near the bow of the ship pretending everything behind it doesn't exist, and fiddling with his gun; cleaning it, to be more precise.
He's apparently been there long enough that he's taken to humming humming an old tune. Or, at least old for those who come from anywhere near his time.
B
"I've found quite a few delicious looking fish," he laughs, dropping the net down as the contents flop all over each other, "Anyone care to pick out the good ones? I'm not sure what the judgment criteria are."

Shadows Nightman | OC
Not. Fair.
[B It's noon and none of the shadows on the ship are big enough for Shadows' taste. He's currently hanging out at the bow, trying not to step out of the small amount of shade from his parasol. He'd just go below decks, but some idiot had decided the SHADOW-MAN needed to take his shift as the lookout at NOON. He's not climbing up to the crow's nest though. He'll just stay right here, coming up with a creative way to tell the captain off without getting tossed off the ship.]
