Welcome to your monthly Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where new players can test out their characters' voices, old players can try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

♦ Arrr, here be buried treasure, but not all that glitters is gold! Will ye be telling your mateys what ye found, or keeping it for yourselves?

Ah. Uh, yeah, sorry if you didn't know about it. There was a fighting tournament on Dressrosa, it was supposed to be the prize. If I won it, I was gonna give it to Luffy-senpai. I can't use it anyway, already got one, but I know he'd want that precious keepsake of his brother.

[he might have squeed and flailed about it in front of Luffy, but here, in front of someone he'd only met but still respected, he could be serious about it. It was the truth, after all.]

You're a pretty good guy, Green Chicken-kun. [He should probably figure out his name before nicknaming him but whatever.]

I'll admit, I got pretty scared for a moment there. Teach would love to have his crew use that kind of thing, I'm sure.

...uh. Yeah, I bet. [hmm maybe it's better off not to mention Burgess. Big dumb asshole.] Not an issue, though. It's safe.

[a question like that calls for showing off. Barty grins and glances down the bar at some of the other sad sacks drowning their sorrows, and then crosses his fingers with a flick of his wrist. The guy on the other side of Marco suddenly splutters as some kind of force field appears between his mouth and his glass and his attempt to take a drink turns into ale everywhere.]

I'm a barrier human. HAH! Smooth move, dumbass! You got a drinking problem, all right!
