Welcome to our first Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where players can test out their characters' voices, try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

Okaaay! [he grabs a broom he sees nearby and races outside, reaching up to grab onto the crow's nest and shoots up. He sings to himself a bit as he beats the broom back and forth]

Cleaning for food. Cleaning for food.

"It's either going ashore, or me dumping a bucket of fish on you."

Let it never be said Grey wasn't observant as all hell. He'd picked up on Kaito's fish issues the first week aboard.

EHHH SUPER COOL ROBOT! [He's never seen anything so awesome! So he's just gonna star eye at you for a bit]

We'll be doing that too, sis! Ya can't just settle for one thing.

[:/] But why are we pirates if we're not pirating?

[he notices the old guy in the corner and overhears his conversation]

Can't you be a pirate and an explorer? [he tilts his head] And I really like your mustache, old guy!

[ Don't mind her stealing a couple of guns, gun powder, a few swords and maybe some of your food on a much smaller boat and rowing away.

She might have left a huge portion of your crew beaten and bruised, with maybe a tooth missing or two. Oops. ]

Ehhh? [screeches to a stop. He didn't know he was supposed to do that! But! He ties his wrist around his upper arm and wooshes it over his head]

GUM GUM NO--~

[and it whips out! Lassoing the barrel!]

LASSOOO!

So you're middle aged? [it's good to see his okay] Where were you trying to swim to?

My...is it that time of month again already?

[The brunette sounds the furthest thing from annoyed as she approaches the front of the ship. She crosses her arms and leans against the deck railing nearby, joining her noisy crewmate in staring up at the glowing moon with a small and contented smile on her face.] How the time flies.

[A turn of the head and a glance upward only takes a second, even though he turns his head a little far, getting the boy in the field of vision of his left eye. A quick look-over is all it takes, though it's not like he's dismissing the young man's possible threat factor yet. Kids can be scary these days, after all.

There's no tension in the man's figure though, as he gives the lizard's head another pat.]

[All too glad to be on dry land again, Porrim has returned to the market with her spoils for sale. The gold and baubles were left for others. It was the cloths and silks that she was after. Some of it will sell well enough on its own, but the seamstress has other plans for these bolts as well.

Perhaps the vibrant colors of the cloth will draw in some new customers? After all, it's hard not to stand out when her wares are sailing like bright, rainbow-colored flags in the middle of the town square.]

You sure seem high spirited about all this.

[Perks up at the thought though. A strange island, mysterious arrivals, and a possible secret to the place. Curiosity is starting to overpower his earlier concern.]

Then perhaps we should work together to find out. Everyone loves a good mystery after all.

[Maybe he didn't hear her...

At seeing such a feat, Pinkie's jaw drops. Not even she can do that!]

....whoooooaaa...HOW COOL!!

Now run towards the docks! RUN, LUFFY! C'MON!!

[she might have stolen a barrel much heavier than usual! But rather than being full of food, it's full of Luffy and he pops out at some point as she's rowing]

AHHHH What a nice nap!

... No. I'm twenty-three. [Stares. Is this kid for real?] I was trying to swim to this shore. I became lost at sea after that storm passed through and now I'm here.

[allendsmeat]

Yoooosh! [Teaaring toward the docks as fast as he could, the wind blowing in his hair. This is so cool.

So cool!

SO COOL!]

"So, what kind of pirate are you. One with an actual sense of morality, or one I'd have to shoot on general principle?" Grey asked with an air of cheeriness, as an otter poked his head out of the alien's bag, sniffed, and made a disgusted face.

"Eugh, he smells bad enough for you shoot him. I mean, I know you can't tell, but it's like he hasn't seen a bar of soap in a year."

-Ugh... she brushes the first part off her shoulder, focusing on the second.-

Maybe... there are things from all sorts of worlds out there. Maybe I'll find another Honshu Werewolf.

"It's perverted when humans do it." Plain and simple, as far as she was concerned.

Heh... Yeah. Sorry. I didn't wake you up, did I?

I'm not interested in that kind of stuff. I'm trying to find my nakama. [he shifts the barrel to the other shoulder] But you can come with me if you want to find another barrel.

[Great as it is to see someone enjoying themselves, its obvious the boy doesn't know the first thing about sailing. Pulling up along side him in his own boat.]

'Hoy there! Mind if I ask who's driving this thing?

[Pinkie watches carefully for just the right moment. When Luffy gets close enough to the dock edge...he's almost there...

He's pretty fast, so it doesn't take long for her to yell:]

STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!!

Luffy freezes. He'd been trying to find somewhere to hide. But it was hard to be a stowaway when he was caught like that. So, he guessed he'd stop being a stowaway. Only answer for it. So instead he raised a hand.

"Yo. I'm Luffy. Can I ride with you?"
