Test Drive for September 2013 Apps

Welcome to our first Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where players can test out their characters' voices, try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

Ah, it was that human kid with the straw hat. And luckily for him, she took imitation as flattery.

"Well, it's more instinct for me. But I guess you humans don't have rituals like this." Well, not specifically like this. Someone should tell her about what Pagans do during moon cycles sometime.

[allendsmeat]

"I dunno! I howl at the moon sometimes when we have a really good party." Or when they were pretending. "It's fun."

He moves to sit cross legged on the railing, absently gripping one ankle and raises his free hand.

"Yo, I'm Luffy. Who are you?"

[soundandfurry]

"Well I guess that's a good a time as any." the wolf woman giggled a bit. "I'm Kagerou. If you couldn't tell already, I'm a werewolf."

[allendsmeat]

"Eh? Really? That's so cool!" He's never met a real werewolf before! "What can you do? Can you run really fast and live wrapped up in a tomb and suck blood?" Or at least that's how he thought the stories went.

[soundandfurry]

Ugh, this kid really was cute. She shook her head. "I can do whatever a wolf can, but those other things aren't me at all. And, yanno, most humans are afraid of wolves. I'm sort of the last of my kind back home."

[allendsmeat]

"You think so?" He hasn't really noticed that kind of thing. But maybe some people are. He's beaten up wolves and he's danced with them so he thinks they're pretty neat. Still the last of her kind... He leans back on his hands.

"It must be kind of lonely huh?"

[soundandfurry]

"Yeah... Well, I mean, that's kind of why I'm glad I'm here! Maybe I'll meet someone like me, from another world, you know? It's pretty exciting..."

[allendsmeat]

"Yeah maybe! There's a lot of cool people here. But you can find a lot of friends anyway. The sea is a great place for that." That's where he found most of his friends, after all. "Are you going to be a pirate?"

[soundandfurry]

"Not sure about that... I'm mostly just using the boats as travel. Piracy seems like a very, ah... human thing. No offense."

[allendsmeat]

"Really?" He cocks his head. "Fishmen are pirates, too. And giants. And everyone on my world I think. There's probably even mermaid pirates." Would Keimi count? Maybe not. But maybe she would one day! He really liked her.

[soundandfurry]

Mermaid pirates... She imagined Wakasagihime as one. The mental image couldn't stick. "I guess I just can't see myself as one. I'm not after treasure, just... someone out there like me, you know?"

[allendsmeat]

He nods. "That can be treasure, too! Friends, dreams...important stuff." He puts a hand absently on his hat and tugs it down. "I'm looking for my friends, too. Maybe when I find them you can come with us for a while." Just for fun. It would be great to have more people to howl at the moon with.

[soundandfurry]

"Heh... Maybe. It sounds fun, but I've been without a pack for so long, I think I'll have to stick it out solo a bit longer. Just to see where these currents wind up taking me, yanno?"

[allendsmeat]

He nods. He doesn't really get that at all. He'd rather be with people than be lonely but--maybe she just wants to find all sorts of different people that she can make...pack?

"Good luck! And if you ever wanna have a party, come find me!" Because he likes her and it will be fun to party together and show her his crew.

[soundandfurry]

"I'm always up for a good party~" Especially the kind of parties where she could show off and not worry about hiding her wolfy-ness.

[allendsmeat]

"Me too! I think every adventure should end with a good party and lots and lots of food." They would definitely have a good party when he found everyone again. Even if it wasn't home that was okay. It was better to be together wherever they were.

"Can you sing and dance and hold chopsticks up your nose?" All elements of a good party.

[soundandfurry]

"Pretty good at dancing, okay at singing, and I've never even tried that last one," Kagerou laughed, imagining herself even attempting.

He likes her laugh! She should do it a lot more.

"You should try! It's really fun. I can even do it with cooking chopsticks but then Sanji gets really mad." He laughs.

[soundandfurry]

"Hmm. I wonder if we have any on board... we mostly brought fruit, so maybe not." But she found herself wanting to try. Anything to grab some attention and pull it away from her fur, right?

[allendsmeat]

"Well you can train up with any kind of sticks! Do you have any of those dowel things? Or maybe a hammer! That would take a lot but if you can get it then chopsticks will be no problem!"

[soundandfurry]

"I should look around our supplies and see what I can find."

[allendsmeat]

"Yosh! I'll help!" He jumps down to the deck. "Let's go!"

[soundandfurry]

"Follow me!" Kagrou hopped from her perch, but what landed on the deck was not the woman Luffy had just been speaking to, but a fuzzy brown wolf, though it was obvious just from the look in her eyes that this was the same individual.

[allendsmeat]

"Uwaaah! That was really cool!" He sounds pretty happy as he follows her. "Transformations are so awesome! If I could do one I think I'd be a baboon!"

[soundandfurry]

"I dunno. I do think I prefer this to getting all furry even in my were form when the moon is full. Anyways, the storage room is this way. Keep low, okay? Don't want Captain Murasa spotting us and scolding me again."
