Test Drive for September 2013 Apps

Welcome to our first Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where players can test out their characters' voices, try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

Oh yeah! For grass! [scribble scribble] What do you like to eat? [because if she was going to be in the picture she might as well have something tasty to munch on]

...oh right! GRASS! [Obviously was not thinking about grass.]

[allendsmeat]

You should have a ship with grass on it like the Sunny! [and he grabs the brown and starts drawing what could be considered a boaty shape. He pushes the eyepatch up absently so he can see better] And an aquarium and a shark sub.

[he's going to need a bigger piece of paper]

Why would I need grass? To sleep on? [She hums in thought.] They DO make better beds...

[She looks over at his picture, pointing to the boaty thing.] You should put a shark tub at the bottom of the ship!

[allendsmeat]

You can sleep on it, too. [he thought she ate it, but sleeping is nice.] It's springy. Zoro sleeps on it all the time. And yeah, the shark sub is at the bottom. It's this cool mystery room with a lot of doors and cool things in them. [he doesn't really get it but--]

And our room is right here. [he colors that in--but as he works he starts to frown a little]

OOOOOHHH we're gonna share a room?! [Notices the frown.] What's wrong?

[allendsmeat]

Well the girls usually sleep in a different room. [though he didn't get why. He looks over at Pinkie and sighs a little] I like you and this is fun but I miss my nakama.

[and drawing all this reminded him of them]

[She looks confused too.] I don't get it!

What's nakama?

[allendsmeat]

Nakama is crew and friends and family. [he nods] I have a lot of them now.

[elementofcupcakes]

Oh, okay! Well, lets go find them! [Starts packing up her things!]

[allendsmeat]

Yeah! Okay! I've been looking! [he doesn't have things to pack up but he folds up the paper and puts it in his pocket] And I have a barrel! It's pretty small but maybe if we get two we can tie them together!

Why don't we just use the journal thingie and ask where they are?! [Not that she minds a barrel.]

[allendsmeat]

Yeah we can but that still wouldn't be where they are. And some of them get lost a lot.

[elementofcupcakes]

Why don't you ask them to just...come back here?! Or find an island nearby and stay put til we get there?!

[Why is Pinkie making the most sense?!]

[allendsmeat]

Cuz then I wouldn't be able to meet anyone else. Anyway, waiting is boring.

[elementofcupcakes]

But we can TOTALLY meet other people WHILE waiting! DUH! We could even sail around the island til they come!

[allendsmeat]

No way! I'm gonna explore. [he doesn't want to sit around on an island while everyone else is having adventures]

[elementofcupcakes]

[She just laughs.]

No wonder you can't find your friends! You're all over the place! [She bounces while laughing, stopping after a while to start pulling her wagon with all her supplies.] Let's go join a crew and go from there!

[allendsmeat]

haha well I'll be on a ship but I'm not interested in joining a crew. I already have one and I'm the captain.

[which meant he had to hold out for them no matter what, just like they held out for him]

Whoa...you're a captain?! [Looks at him in awe]

[allendsmeat]

Yep! I have a pretty awesome crew, too!

[elementofcupcakes]

Do you think I can join your crew, too?! I promise to be good and sing songs and draw pictures of our great adventures!

[allendsmeat]

Yeah sure! Come on! That'll be really awesome!

WOOHOO! [Victory jump!!]

I'm Pinkie pie! What's your name?!

I'm Monkey D. Luffy! Nice to meet you! Now let's get some barrels and look for the others!
