Welcome to our first Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where players can test out their characters' voices, try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

I'm Luffy. [he starts to pick your his nose, peering at the guy curiously]

What's a star ship? [is it shaped like a star? Or does it have famous people?]

[spohkh]

It is well to make your acquaintance Mister Luffy.

A star ship is a ship that has the capability of traveling through space.

[Prime directive? What Prime directive.... Spock didn't think it applied in this case.]

EH? Space?! Really?! Do you have on it?! Can we go on it?! Have you seen aliens?!

[spohkh]

[Spock blinked and fought the urge to step back at the youth's enthusiasm.]

I do not have access to the ship at this time.... and yes, I have seen aliens. Technically, I am one.

[Spock turns his head ever so slightly... indicating his ears.]

[allendsmeat]

Ehhh? REALLY? THAT'S SO COOL! What can you do?!

[he's never met an alien before! Have a Luffy trembling with excitement]

[spohkh]

[Spock quirks an eyebrow... but he finds himself slightly amused at the youth's enthusiasm....
Most curious, does he act like this normally? Or perhaps this is a medical conditions?]

As a Vulcan, I am a touch telepath. That means I can hear other being's thoughts through touch.

[allendsmeat]

Yosh! [Luffy sticks out his arm and looks at the guy expectantly]

[spohkh]

[Both eyebrows make it to his hairline in surprise...]

You wish for me to read your thoughts? I will also be able to feel your emotions, and it is a highly intimate exchange...

...I do not know you. I would rather not hear your thoughts at this time.

[allendsmeat]

I don't mind getting intimate, but okay! [grin] You should join my crew!

[he didn't know he needed a super cool touchy alien guy until just now!]

[spohkh]

[Spock gave Luffy an incredulous look....]

You wish for me to become a pirate? Who else is in your crew?

[Because Luffy might lead him to more useful information.]

Yeah! [of course]

[he ticks off on his fingers] I've got a swordsman who sleeps a lot, a navigator who gets mad when you eat her mikan, a sniper with a long nose that lies a lot, a weird cook, a monster reindeer doctor who can transform, Robin who does archaeologist stuff, a shipwright who doesn't wear pants, a skeleton with an afro, and a touchy alien guy!

[grin grin]

[Flat expression is flat.]

Your methods of persuasion leaves much to be desired. However... I would be amenable to seeing your ship.

Is it near here?

[allendsmeat]

Haha I don't have one yet! I have a barrel though!

[spohkh]

[....

.....Spock was silent for a moment.]

I see. Then it is rather difficult to have a crew without a ship, is it not? I doubt you can sail that barrel.

[allendsmeat]

You can paddle it. [yep] But when I find my crew we'll get a bigger ship. Maybe Franky will make one. [he folds his arms behind his head]

What kind of stuff would you like?

[spohkh]

[Another confused look.]

You will have to be more specific. What do you mean by 'stuff'?

[Stuffy Vulcan was stuffy.]

[allendsmeat]

On the ship! Franky can make anything you want! Even if it's something boring like a library.

[spohkh]

[Spock opened his mouth, about to argue that 'Frankie' could most likely not build the books that went into that library... but thought better of it.
This young man has been nothing but... pleasant since the start of their meeting, he may as well not be contrary.]

Do you think that he could build a telescope? I could learn much about this place from its stars.

[Spock had many constellations memorized. If he could find a familiar constellation then he may be able to find out where he was.]

Yeah probably!

[And if Franky couldn't make it he could probably find it somehow.]

Do you know a lot about stars?

[spohkh]

Indeed I do. If this place is at all familiar, I will be able to tell that from the stars.
You have experience with a ship though, do you not? Have you never used the stars to guide you?

[Spock was warming up to this young man.... unfortunately.]

[allendsmeat]

I haven't but maybe Nami has. [who can say what mysterious things she does]

I just think they're pretty. You know some of them make pictures and have stories about them!

[he didn't find this out until recently and he still thinks its really cool]

[spohkh]

I must admit.... you are unlike any Captain I have ever met, pirate or otherwise.
[Because Spock? He's met more than his fair share of space pirates.]

It makes me wonder what the rest of your crew is like.
I believe I would like to meet them.

[allendsmeat]

Shishishi You will when we find them. They're all really cool.

[now if only he knew where to look]

[Spock regards the awkwardly perched barrel of apples...

..and grew suspicious.]

Where did you acquire that barrel of apples?

[allendsmeat]

[Oh! He forgot he still had that. He eats an apple]

I helped shopkeeper lady put them on the cart and she said I could have one cuz they're mostly all bad. [munch munch] But still tasty.
