Welcome to your monthly Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where new players can test out their characters' voices, old players can try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

[Also Smoker probably looks a lot better than the last time you saw him, but let's be real, that is not hard to do since he's standing, and not drenched in blood.]

[technically because he saw you last sitting across a table from him and listening to the bells ring in Marine Ford, you look worse. But mah. Forget it]

[idly tracks a cannonball flying right toward Smoker and shifts his weight a little]

[Oh in that case, he looks a billion times worse. Like "jfc the New World chewed you up and spat you back here, huh?" worse. Yes.]

Shoot at you no matter how much you don't bother them or even want to join them.

[Smoker's unending woes: he has them.]

Still being pestered by Straw Hat.

[not really a question. Cannonball coming closer to actively hitting Smoker. He could stop it himself. Probably. If he wanted to make a concentrated effort. Which he doesn't so... It'll be fine. Most likely]

[You're a terribly lazy friend, do you know that?]

[Just for that, Smoker isn't gonna kick it back all Garp-style to show off his proud new haki & vice admiral l33t skillz. Instead, he'll just side step around it.]

[Because fuck you that's why.]

No, I'm still pestering him.

[Is it chasing when you know exactly where he is and just sort of... wait?]

[WHATEVER, it is what he did for two years in G5, SO CLOSE ENOUGH.]

[that was good of you. Now the cannonball will smash into the mast which someone will need to fix. You broke it you bought it, Smoker, which he will bring up when the matter comes to a head.]

And what will you do if you catch him?

[and since one damaged mast is quite enough, he'll extend his effort a little to send a sheet of ice over the sea, over their ships, not to freeze the people in place but to give them a little chill. It's not like he can send them to prison and doing anything more will be that much more an effort

Oh except he managed to freeze their ship in place as well. Mah, well, it'll work itself out]

And that's the real trick of it.

When I catch him, I'll actually have a prison to put him in.

[deliberately misunderstanding here as he watches the pirates seem to panic]

You'd never wear the hat.

[and he is caught in a strange conundrum of wanting Smoker to catch the Straw Hats and not wanting him to. It will be a culmination of his efforts, true, and it's not as if they don't stir up enough trouble-- But he can't shake the feeling that Smoker will end up feeling the worse for it; like killing a fledgling bird, mid-flight]

In that case forget it.

[forget what though? He'll leave that up for Smoker to decide. The pirates seem to have recovered and are picking their way across the ice toward them]

Ararara Clever. [he hadn't counted on that]

Well I'll leave it to you.

[Smoker is capable and his sun chair is calling his name.]

[Gives him an annoyed look, but whatever. Kuzan is Kuzan. Whether as a hobo, or admiral, some things never change.]

[Smoker jumps down, breaks a few ice berg floes off with his jitte, hops his way over to the enemy ship and commandeers it.]

[WEEEEE.]

[Face his unruly justice!]

[KICKAPOW!]

[PUNCH OF JUSTICE!]

[KICK OF JUSTICE!]

[CHECK OUT HIS AWESOME JUSTICE MOVES OF--]

[Glances back.]

[Totally doesn't sulk.]
