See you during the application round!
♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?
♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!
♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!
♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!
♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!
♦ Arrr, here be buried treasure, but not all that glitters is gold! Will ye be telling your mateys what ye found, or keeping it for yourselves?
Nami | One Piece
She doesn't panic. Not yet. She's not hurt, and there are no marines here, and they're on the coast, right? So stands to reason this is another island and she can work out why she's here by herself later. The locals give her a town name but stare at her blankly when she mentions the Grand Line, which is the first thing that makes her uneasy, and there's no sign of the Sunny down at the harbour. So what gives? And the taverns are just as useful. Nobody's even heard of any of the pirate crews she mentions.
Sooo maybe she's a little jittery by the end of a long day of exploration, and she fetches up in one of the taverns when the sun sets (her bar tab paid for oh so helpfully by the drunken sailor who tried to paw at her half an hour ago, who might be sober enough to miss his wallet in the morning).
So she drinks. And listens. And tries not to freak out. And works out what to do next.]

A tavern is exactly where Zoro wants to be right now, since the ship's supplies of booze are pretty low. All his fault. He doesn't even care which one as he throws open the door and ignores any stares and glares thrown his way.]
Rum. Three bottles.
[He leans right next to Nami and for a moment doesn't even realize it's her.]

Half a second later, she's smacking him on the shoulder, voice a hiss at the bar.] Where have you been?!
[There's stark relief in her expression, but just turning up so casually like that? Rude. Like she hasn't been missing all day, jeez. But seriously-- at least she's not alone.]
no subject
Nami?! Where did you come from?
[Duh, Zoro.]
no subject
Where did I come from? I've been in this weird town all day! Where have you been? And where's everyone else?
[Something's wrong here, Zoro. Fix it.]

[A heavy hand thunks down on the bar next to her, blue and webbed. Namur swings one leg up on the swiveling barstool, but doesn't quite sit, and grins toothily.]
Hey there, sweetheart! Heard y' was lookin' for a friend or two. How 'bout I buy y' 'nother shitty drink, an' we get t' know each other a li'l better, huh?

Hmm. Testing, testing.]
You're a long way from the Grand Line.

[Don't mind him, he's just sliding the rest of the way into that barstool.]

Nami. Navigator of the Straw Hat Pirates. [Her gaze flicks up to his. You're not one of Arlong's and you're drinking with humans, so that probably means you're friendly-ish. She figures namedropping is a decent risk to take.]
Kind of new around here.

...well. Turning up in a weird place like this feels like it makes a little more sense. Missing crew, check. Not so missing enemy, check. Question is, does she run or hope he hasn't noticed her? She's down at the end of the bar, and her hair is longer. But on the other hand, if he's responsible for her being here, there's no point in either, is there?
For now, she stays where she is, working on not keeping a deathgrip on her own drink, and wishes Luffy were here.]

Well, at least she's armed this time.
Nami finishes her drink. And then swings her legs down off the stool, fingers hitched in her belt near the climatact, intent on walking casually out of the bar.]

[wow. Wow! Is she really here? He has to pinch himself to make sure it isn't a dream! But no matter how much he pinches it doesn't hurt.

[Akira was locked in an argument with some very big men, after he bumpbed their table while a heated card game was going on. It disrupted the whole game, sending cards everywhere. After a statement bout not liking "his kind", one man took a swing at him. Akira parried the blow straight into another man's face, only to get blind-sided by a massive hit from steel mallet that made him crash into the bar right beside Nami. After he pulled his head out of the wood, he noticed her.]
Ah...Sorry about that. Hope that you didn't spill a drink. Would you mind movin' one seat over?
no subject
If this is a fight, she's not getting involved.] Ah...sure thing.
[Her eyes flick to the guy who hit him, and double-takes at the mallet. You got hit by that and you're still okay?
...yeah, edging out of the way now.] You guys have fun.
no subject
Guys, look. I know you don't like newcomers, but I've TECHNICAllY been here before. So I'm not really a newcomer at all!
[When the axe comes down, he dashes in, grabbing it by the neck. He twists the man's wrist, which turns the axe, at which point he starts smashing it against his face.]
You...guys...are not...listening...to...reason!
[When that men falls, his friend attacks with a pistol. Turning a moment too late, the bullet hits him in the head. He drops the axe and staggers, then planets his feet as his regenerating flesh pushes the lead ball out. After giving the shooter an annoying frown, he dashes into him, swinging him by his leg into another assailant, sending them both through the window. For now, it seemed to be resolved.]
Great. Bleeding. Sorry everyone, I'll...find way to pay for this.
[He sits by Nami, thirsty from the exertion.]
Sorry for the scene.
