Welcome to our first Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where players can test out their characters' voices, try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! ♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!

♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!

♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

[Thankfully he's used to glowers and glares and all that sort.]

Not at all. It's fanciful and whimsical stories told with made up words. Some nursery rhymes would fall under the category.

[How is a crazy assassin teaching a child about nonsense verse.]

Sefton can make fifteen stupid faces, I've seen those icons

What's the point of sense? Just because you deem something to be invalid doesn't actually make it so.

There are times when we need something more whimsical and carefree than what sense would give us.

[ There is a knotted-up towel getting thrown right for Jabberwock's face right now. ]

[He catches the towel and laughs, having expected something to be thrown at him.]

Not all music makes sense, but on the other side of the coin, not all music is nonsense.

[polarization]

[ Sefton glowers some more. ]

You're talking 'bout songs, not music.

[jawsthatbite]

Ah, but they can be one and the same, depending on where you're from. Music, which I'm guessing is the non-lyrical sort, can be whimsical and carefree, but there's an underlying order and sense to it that's prevalent throughout, even if it doesn't always appear that way on the surface.

[And he would know all about that.]

S' what makes it music.

[ What is your point, Jabberwock ]

That's not true. I know there are some forms of music that the Canadians are so fond of that try to disrupt the order and sense most other genres have. They don't truly succeed, but they are trying and it does still count as music.

[polarization]

Canadians do?

[ Since when do Canadians have a recognizable genre of music in the first place? ]

[jawsthatbite]

You think they don't? I thought you listened to music.

[Since they invented rock and roll, obviously.]

[polarization]

[ This is what confirms it for Sefton. Jabberwock, you're crazy. ]

[But it's true and not something he made up in the depths of his insanity!]

How Canadians should have never had boy bands? Or was it rap music? I get the two mixed up a fair bit.

[polarization]

Maybe so, but they didn't make 'em.

I'm not sure about the rap music, but they did invent boy bands. And rock and roll.

[polarization]

They really didn't.

[ Just. Not having this at all. He might be kind of giving Jabberwock a sort of pass because Aussie, but come on. ]
