See you during the application round!
♦ So you're new to this world and have just woken up in the Town Square. How do you react? What do you do?
♦ You're lost at sea. Maybe you got separated from your crew. Or perhaps you're on an abandoned island. You need help!
♦ "Pirates off the starboard bow!" It's an enemy ship! Attack!!
♦ You and your crew are hanging out on your ship. Just another day at sea!
♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!
B... ish?
[Two weeks ago, she felt a familiar presence. Familiar blood. A blood whom spoiled her happily. She wanted to approach him, but they were in the middle of an encounter with the navy. She wanted to leave, but the risks of having Seishin caught in the line of fire was too great. She had to ensure the Captain of the ship chasing them died first along with his crew before she can even think about going to Seishin.]
[When the battle was over, Seishin had found a crew already. Of all people he had to join, she had join Toshio's crew. She had to be careful if she wanted to approach Seishin. So one evening, when his crew was in deep sleep, Sunako appeared in his cabin. A cheerful and grateful expression upon her face.]
Mister Muroi!
Works for me~
Her voice.
Green eyes abruptly move from the page, landing on a face that immediately confirmed his guess of...who he was already so sure of it being.]
Sunako...
[His expression softened as he said the name- a name that, upon saying, the feeling of relief increased. Seishin stood, the journal being dropped onto his hammock.]
When did you arrive?[His expression tensed in an almost unnoticeable way. Toshio was on the ship. Yuuki Natsuno, as well. The risk of her being seen by either of them...] I'm sure you are fully aware of who is on this ship.
[An implication of what his concern was.]
YAY!!
Mister Muroi!
[Her voice was as cheerful as ever. After all, she never thought she'd ever see him again. She looked up at him with still the same smile she used to give him back in their world. No worries. Just pure happiness.]
One of them arrived months before. The other just arrived a month or so ago.
...why are you here?
Sunako, why so adorable. <3
On top of her being there, where he can protect her, she is worry-free. Somehow, it helps ease his own concerns- no, not completely. Seishin cannot help but to worry what will happen if Toshio were to see her, there. There's no doubt in his mind that he will do whatever it takes to keep her safe from him, but he doesn't want it to come to that.
Listening quietly to her answer, he gets the idea. Not only is she aware of their being here, but she knows when. As always, Sunako is smart...and aware of her surroundings. There's a reason, after all, that she's been alive as long as she has.
Her question comes, next, and his expression tenses just barely. He knows which 'here' she is referring to, without needing even the slightest explanation. What to say, though? He thinks on her words, for a moment. When he speaks, it's in a low tone.]
When I first arrived, Toshio managed to spot me in the Town Square. He wasted no time in approaching me. We talked for quite a bit of time. [Pause.] I suppose, in the end, the truth remains that this isn't home. The circumstances are different, in this place, than they were in Sotoba…for all of us.
[And, in spite of everything, Seishin still cares about Toshio.
Suddenly, a thought occurs to him-- Nobody has come from the same time period, so far. Which time does she come from?]
May I ask you something, Sunako?
Because it is Mister Muroi!
[Her dark eyes reflected some of her sadness when she had heard him speak so fondly of Toshio.]
I wanted..
[She paused as he continued to speak.]
I wanted to go to you too. But the Navy was relentless. They are just as scary as the villagers.
[Her head tilted ever so slightly at Seishin's inquiry. Then a nod followed.]
Is something bothering you?
no subject
Yes, they're definitely dangerous. I'm glad you were able to avoid them.
[When she asked if something was bothering him, he could only shift his eyes away from her for a moment.]
Yes, actually. [He looked back down, green eyes resting on the curious face.] What's the last thing you remember happening, back on our world?
