Welcome to our first Test Drive for high_seas! Here is where players can test out their characters' voices, try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Feel free to use one of the prompts below, or come up with something on your own! Comment around, have fun, and remember that any CR formed here does not carry over to the game!

♦ "LAND, HO!" Hey look, a new island! How about you go explore it? Tell us what you find!

[The tickling sensation of the cat-like tongue on her face sends her into a panic as she tries to scramble away, gasping.]

I don't normally turn down good company, but don't hold back on my account. I'm sure I can find something to pass the time.

Sarah seems like a nice girl. I hope she catches him soon. The last time I ran into him outside of the Institute, he asked me if I wanted to see why his Roger was so jolly.

"So I'm told," Leo arched his eyebrows at Nico, and shifted again, rubbing his thumb across the sail.

"Yeah. The thing I was working on was just a dingy with a mast, so I could expand it, or just sell it to get something else." Leo shrugged and gestured with his free hand. "Being a pirate is like, the major economy here or something, so they have a lot of ships for--uh, sail." He grinned at Nico.

It was always the time for puns. Even when you were stranded and supposed to be on a quest to save the world.

"Seriously, though. You can't sense anyone at all?"

[fabnguns]

[Whoa! Hold on! Boris quickly reaches out to try and grab Karla in order to keep her still.]

Hey! Hold still or you will be going back into the water!

[hiken]

I've never heard of a firebender. [Ace reached up to pop his neck a little bit and then raised one foot up off the ground. It wasn't that he needed to block Korra's flames--he just didn't need to. He brought his right foot down to the ground, his leg engulfed in flames the moment he struck it.

Though, that wasn't to say it was what he wanted to accomplish. The street 'burst' from the raw strength in Ace's leg and sent up a sheet of rock. He lifted it over his head with ease, preparing to throw it right at Korra.]

But, I'm not a firebender. I am fire!

[And then, of course, he threw it.]

[When Karla is grabbed, she stops scrambling. Instead she stares at her rescuer, still gasping.]

...What...were you doing?

[Ikki just glances at the bowl for a brief moment, continuing to work on his pushups and basically ignoring the other. It doesn't last for long, though.]

Don't remember having asked for a take-out lunch.

[Still doing pushups, of course.]

[He grins and jogs to meet her halfway, resting his hands on his knees when he reaches her. He beams up at her as he speaks in a happy voice.]

Heh! I'm glad to see you're alright. Is Riku with you, by any chance?

[As if hoping to see their friend, he glances behind her. Nope. It was worth a shot, though, right?]

[fabnguns]

Trying to dry you off. [Okay, he is gonna go and make eye contact with his one golden eye.] Just relax alright? Alright. [Leans in for another lick on her cheek.]

[feetarestrange]

Relax, I'm not about to dry out over a little air.

But... ugh, that guy's such a creep. I really don't like him, and I don't need to keep hearing about him being ready to board.

[Relaxing probably won't happen just yet, but at least she doesn't try to move away again. Instead, she cringes from the tingling of his tongue and shivers from the cold.]

[hiken]

[He couldn't help but laugh at that. Ace wheeled himself into one of the spinning chairs right next to Smoker, reaching up to slap the Marine on the back. Life was a game for the young and the enthusiastic. Smoker probably didn't know this, Ace assumed--so, somebody would have to teach him the cruelest way.]

What're you talkin' about? He was treatin' me to food in the first place. Jeez, you Marines get so stingy!

[hiken]

I was tellin' the boys a great joke! [The crowd of men suddenly went silent, all averting their eyes. Not entirely out of embarrassment, but fearing for their lives because apparently their captain was a psychopath. Ace laughed, just remembering the corny little joke he coined up.]

[So, Ace immediately decided to subject this strange, nice lady approaching him--]

What did the the pony say to his mom when he was sick?

"Wow, that's a lot of hair, " said something who'd come up right behind her.

"Hey, aren't you supposed to be locked in a tower with an evil witch?"

Really? Well, I'm gettin' hungry. Say I buy you a frying pan and all the fish on that stand?

[Ace had nothing but good things to say about Sanji's cooking. Were Sanji free on the market, he would have definitely been recruited onto Whitebeard's crew just for that insane level of quality--and because Ace could get along with anyone who worked well for practicing his good manners.]

Sure thing. Just let me know if you spot any Marines before I do.

As much trouble as I can start, I'd prefer bein' the one to start the fight.

[tantiny]

[ Not too far off is a small child leaning casually against a wall reading over a small, pocket sized notebook. ]

Smoking is bad for you, Oniisan.

[hiken]

Mmph. [It wasn't a satisfying answer. The Old Man could tell Teach whatever he wanted and it may have been true, but Teach wouldn't let that slide. He already knew about Teach's ambitions. He used him to become a Royal Warlord and gained more clout than a man could have gotten in a hundred years of pillaging and fighting on their own.

He glowered past Marco for awhile, realizing it was a moot point. Ace already knew the main weakness of Blackbeard's fruit--that it was extremely difficult to become mobile and avoid attacks--but, with his ability to sap Devil Fruit powers, they would need more than one person at a time to fight him.]

It doesn't matter. How does this sound, though? Marco.

[He paused, lifting his hat up to put it back on.]

The Age of Fire-Fist.

It isn't. At least, not if control over your magic doesn't depend upon seeing no value in the life of others.

[hiken]

Relax, relax. [Ace swiped his hand back gently, pushing away Thatch's hand. As if it would matter--his temperature was likely constantly in the quadruple digits given his Devil Fruit. He looked up at Thatch and sighed, realizing that if it were a dream, either way--he'd be satisfied just remembering his old friend.

Unlike Sabo--who Ace was worried constantly about forgetting his voice and face. Losing people came with more disappointments than the obvious ones.]

It's been a lousy few months, Thatch. Nothin' a vacation can't help, though.

Hurrah! Hummy really likes riding in your coat, Karen!

That's not up to me.

And you should really take the time to educate yourself on salmonella.

Yeah.

[ She looked away, brushing a hand against the ropes. ]

So... is this it for now? I should be heading away before they catch up.

(Eh, its close enough for him and he continues to lick until he feels like her face is at least dry enough before slumping down next to her. Letting go of her hands but still not willing to let her use his fur for warmth.

However....

He does go to hold one arm up to offer her silently if she wants to use his body as a source of heat. Remembering how Alice would always comment on how warm he always seems to be no matter how cold it was outside.)
