Here is where new players can test out their characters' voices, old players can try out new muses, and everyone can help each other get some threads for their applications! Harry Flynn | Uncharted 2: Honor Among Thieves

A) voice or action:

Hunt down a bloody wish stone. Well, doesn't that sound familiar?

[Harry has a large mug of what passes for beer in this place in front of him. His second so far, actually. He has a notebook -- learned quick those first journals aren't a thing he wants to make too much use of -- in front of him with the poem from the fountain transcribed and a few other bits of information he's gleaned that seem important.

He hasn't gone out to sea yet. Sounds like suicide to him, but he's definitely noticing people getting less friendly. You'd think they'd just be happy he was spending money.

He does, though, have a map. Which he's started marking up based on what's been said through the journals about the different islands. If he's going to go after some supernatural treasure, he's going to do it right. Especially if it is broken into a million tiny pieces like it sounds like.]


B) action:

[Ruins. Ruins are always a good place to look for ancient artefacts. Which is why Harry's halfway up the crumbling wall of what looks like it used to be a temple of some kind. The door isn't going to budge, so--

Up and over.

When he reaches a level bit -- not the full height; he chose the lowest available point to cross -- he crouches on the wall and looks down. He can see the door from here. Barricaded from the inside. Skeletons litter the ground of the temple.]

Well. [He sounds pleased. Even grins.] Either there was something out here they really didn't want in. Or they had something in there they really didn't want to leave.

[The former? The threat was obviously long gone if they hadn't encountered it. The latter? Meant a pay day.]

[Elissa is making her way through the place as if seeking someone in particular when she hears an extremely familiar voice that causes her to stop in her tracks. She wears an odd expression on her face as she stands perfectly still and listens for the Voice to say something else. When it doesn't, right away, she cautiously asks a question to the room in general.]

Alistair? Alistair, are you in here?

Ambrosia Gray | Original Character

Town Square

[ What better way to scope out a new place than to see what the town was? However, the pirate known as Ambrosia Gray wasn't sure if these people knew the crimes she committed, so she's masquerading around as a noble for now. In one hand is a parasol, the other is laid across her dress. She'll wave at anyone passing by while grinning under that rather ridiculous hat. ]

Good day, sir. Might I be of service?

[ The one thing she's oversaw is that the dress is revealing her cleavage. Oh, well. Nothing wrong with a little show once in a while. ]

Discovering Land

[ How long had Ambrosia been out at sea for? Too long, she thought. She loved the sea, but it was more or less listening to the complaints of her crew that made her want to get them to shore sooner or later.

She'll rest at the captain's wheel and sigh before blinking when someone says they've spotted land. A grin formed on her face and she straightened out her hat, steering her ship in the direction it was at. ]

We've found land, mate! Prepare th' sails, get th' barnacles outta yer asses--! We've got treasure t' find!

Town Square~!

[The locals had been acting particularly weary of this winged creature. Her features did not aide themselves towards allowing her to blend in with her pale ivory skin, sea green hair, and most strikingly her iridescent wings. Spying the first friendly sounding person she'd run into Clorimel, sat crouched in shadows until the person the other had been talking to had since departed. Then she unfurled her wings and flew over towards the stranger. It might be more prudent to try and hide her wings, but she felt far more comfortable flying than walking]

"Thou art not like the others.."

[She hovered there and tilted her head to one side]

"Not from Ynis Gwyrdd. Thy own homeland is far from here as well..."

Nagisa Hazuki | Free!

Eh~? What is this place? I didn't fall asleep here! Rei-chan? Haru-chan? Mako-chan? Where is everyone?

[ Of all the strange things that have ever happened to Nagisa (and, actually, that's not very many things. He leads a relatively normal life.) this is by far the strangest. How in the world did he end up here, wherever "here" is, instead of on the bus with his friends, making their way to regionals? ]

Ah, did I get abducted by aliens?! Is that why I don't remember being brought here?! [ The look on his face is more excited by the idea than panicked, as it should be if he actually thought that was a possibility, but that's quickly replaced by a slightly more serious thinking face. ] Hmm... probably not. This looks too normal for aliens!

[ Well, whatever happened, Nagisa is going to take the time to look around the place and by some fruit and dried meat to snack on while he explores a bit. It only takes a few minutes for him to get bored, though, and he finds some place to sit and pout while continuing to snack on the food he bought. ]

This isn't fair! I wanted to swim with everyone at the tournament tomorrow!

[ That's funny, he thought he sensed someone talking about swimming somewhere. He thought that he had been doing a good job keeping Haru from diving into the ocean and then swimming until hell froze over...

He wandered a bit before stumbling upon a familiar blond friend pouting and snacking! ]

[ HE NEVER STOPPED LOOKING FOR YOU FOR A SECOND, HE'LL HAVE YOU KNOW. ]

Hey! Step right up! The Lady Aphrodite's all set for her maiden voyage, and I could really use a few sea hands.

I wonder if they take time to grow, like sea legs. Hmm.

[She just laughs and shakes her head.]

But I'll be a star captain, I promise! I can swash and buckle my way right out of a tight spot.

[ Ambrosia stares at Minako, tilting her head and wondering if she gotten in to the good stuff.

If she did, why the hell wasn't she sharing?

But, she'll point to her own frigate a couple of docks down while tilting her hat. ]

Lass, with all due respect, I've got me own ship 'n crew. Ye don't need t' try 'n recruit a lass like me.

[ A pause. ]

Though, if yer new, I guess I could give ye some pointers on how t' captain a crew 'n a ship fer a fee. Don't suppose ye've got any rum t' sweeten th' deal, aye?

[There was a large, black, wolfish-looking dog lying on its side on the deck, panting; its tongue lolled out onto the polished wood. It did not look particularly happy.

In fact, mostly what it looked like was seasick, and no wonder, because the choppy waves were making the small ship lurch back and forth. Volug whined unhappily.]

-Another wolf nudged forward a bag of oranges with her nose and paw, towards him. Her look was clearly one of her concern. Finally coming across someone like herself... she definitely wanted to be certain he was well.-

You should eat... you'll feel better.

Six | Generator Rex (Because I'm weak...)

[Six isn't pleased with being dragged to some other dimension and having to sail around to claim some prize to get home. Still, just because he doesn't like it doesn't mean he can't deal with it.]

[Looking about, it's obvious that his usual blades--the marvels of modern science that they are--will need to be kept in reserve. He doubts that anyone will be able to fix them once they're broken. He has some technical knowledge and the blades are very resilient, but holding them in reserve for emergencies would be the smartest route.]

[So he starts wandering around the town with a set goal in mind. First stop, weapons shop. Second stop, find out what crews would be willing to hire a former mercenary assassin. Third stop, provisions or lodging depending on if he finds a ship.]

I flipped a coin, so have a wolf!

[You're not the only one in the weapons shop! There is a wolf there as well, browsing through the swords. They didn't have any beads or mirrors, so she had to make due with what she had.

Though she's not really seeing any she likes at the moment. Obviously they weren't designed with wolves in mind.]

Kenshin | Rurouni Kenshin

[It was early morning, but Kenshin was down in the ship's galley, frying up slices of cured meat and eggs for breakfast. It wasn't exactly what he was used to, but some of the other crew seemed to like Western-style food, and Kenshin didn't really mind as long as he kept himself busy.

Soon the smell and sound of sizzling food were filling the air. He began humming cheerfully to himself. This should wake up a few of those sleepyheads!]

-Tojiko didn't need sleep. Or food. And yet some strange force drew her to eat, though she wasn't like SOME ghosts and stuffed her face day in and day out, thankfully. She had manners. But, in general, the only thing that drew the ghostly retainer belowdecks was the scent of good food. And by this point, she had come to know the ronin's cooking pretty well.-

I don't think I shall ever get used to this scent.

Harry Potter | Book 5

[ He has a hearing to go to in less than fifteen minutes. A hearing that would decide if would be able to continue practicing magic and be allowed back at school. He has no idea where he is exactly but he knows for a fact it isn't the ministry of magic. ]

[ Now would be an acceptable time to learn how to apperate. ]

[ Maybe. Any more use of magic, and he might just wind up expelled anyway. He checks his watch and groans, sitting on the edge of the fountain. Eight minutes and counting to get back to London. It just isn't looking promising. ]

[People usually check the time and make faces when their friends are running late. At least, this is typically the case in Asbel's experience. Not that he bothers with watches or schedules or anything like that. He walks up, a kid of about ten - eleven to be exact! - and smiles in an easygoing way.]

Wow, would you look at that view.

[Asbel laughs out loud, left hand flung out into the wind, and the other hooked around the ropes so he won't fall (as he's maybe but not exactly come close to doing at least once already). Even if the captain's been working them like dogs, he has to admit this is pretty cool! Still grinning widely, he turns his head to peer down the ratlines.]

Hey, hurry up, slowpoke! You've just gotta check this out!

[The captain...working them...like dogs... Exactly.]

[Asbel scoots a mop halfheartedly across the deck. Anyone watching should be able to tell that 1) his heart isn't in it at all, and 2) the floorboards, though now wet and slippery, don't look any cleaner than they were a second ago.]

Man... Aren't we there yet? I thought this was supposed to be an adventure...


[C]

[The deck shudders violently, sending water spraying up over the edge. With a gasp, Asbel grabs for the nearest railing and hangs on tight. Off the starboard side, another ship approaches, waving a mean-looking black flag. The crew's pretty mean-looking, too, now that he's got both eyelids peeled open.]

Wh-whoa... are those pirates? Actual pirates?!

[Asbel gulps, still holding on, but one fist trails to the knife at his belt.]

Don't worry, guys! I got this!!

[How hard could it be to fight off a few "law-breaking ruffians", as his newest friend would've put it. Maybe they'll even be willing to negotiate.]

[Or maybe not...]

[Kenshin stood at the ready, shading his eyes against the sunlight reflecting off the waves. His other hand was upon the hilt of his sword.]

I do believe you're right. But let's go after them toge -- oro?

[He scrambled to grab onto a guide rope as they made a sharp turn, heading directly into the path of the pirate ship. Apparently, the captain had opted for fight before flight.]

That was a close one...

Clementine | The Walking Dead

[Arriving in the town square is a scary thing for a nine year old. Clementine sits up, looking around nervously. In her hands she fingers a hand gun, holding it tentatively. Are people alive here? Where was she?

She looks awful, she's covered in grime from her baseball cap to the bottom of her dress, stained with rot and blood.]

[Seeing a child in the middle of the city is one thing, but a child with a gun and all that filth coating her....

Lara can't just walk away from her, but that gun is a bit daunting especially if the girl is scared or nervous.]

Um...excuse me?

[And it then occurs to her she has no idea how to talk to children.]

Edward Elric | Fullmetal Alchemist

[Making land in the ship is no small task, but it feels great to get his feet on the ground once more. Something about the ship feels uneasy and imperfect. Trains, he was used to, boats not so much. Edward Elric pushes his bangs out of his eyes and cups his hand over them to take a look around.

A surge of familiar excitement bubbles up inside of him as he walks along the dock. Somewhere new to explore, new things to see, it always did bring the enthusiasm right out of him. He could see in the distance a town in one direction and a cave in the other. Which way should he go?]

[This...is not okay. No, it's... a dream, right? No, that... frightening ghost pirate was part of some nightmare that he'll soon awaken from. Yeah, that's it! He'll wake up, soon. It'll all have been some freaky thing to laugh about, with his friends! ...Right? There's a faint nervous laugh escaping as red eyes scan the town. People are running, some looking pretty scared. He can feel his heart begin to race as he moves a hand to his forearm.]

Ow.

[Okay, Rin. Calm down. Sure, you, uh, felt that pinch. Sure, it hurt. But, that's no reason to freak out, right? R-right?

Furrowing his brow, he suddenly takes off running. He's not quite sure where he's running. Maybe he's hoping he'll happen upon his friends. Maybe he's hoping that the thing about it not being a dream if you can feel pain...

... will stop being true just from running from it. Whatever the case, he probably should be running. Running while you're blinded from tears is not always the best idea.]

[In all of Ed's experiences he can honestly claim he's never woken up in a strange place with a ghost overhead. He's pretty resilient though and the first thing he did was get up and try and ask the locals for help. They are completely unhelpful, however, he can work with that. Edward has been able to wade through strange, unwelcoming towns before.

The next thing he can do is check the fountain, see what clues he can garner from it and hopefully he will have an idea at least of where he is. It's clear from his surroundings he's not in Risembool anymore.

His mind is racing in a way only his can, as he ponders as many things as he can at once. The weather is a bit cool, there's water nearby. His mind is cross referencing the mental map of Amestris. The people are unfriendly, but they don't seem to recognize him. There is a town, bigger than Risembool, and a lot of trees so it's nowhere out East. West maybe? He noticed a path-

And his thoughts are broken when a redheaded child in tears runs into his legs.]

Hey, hey. [He says in a concerned, but placating tone.] You should be careful.

[The storm last night swept Winry overboard. There are a few pieces of flotsam floating around her, and she strokes and kicks her way over to a barrel, grabbing hold of it.]

Oof!

[It's hard to hold onto, but it's better than trying to swim.]

Help? Hey, is anyone out there! Hey!

[Etta's situation is not much better but at least she's holding onto some wooden planks that do not roll around like a barrel. She hears somebody shouting, then sees a glimpse of the girl behind the barrel.]

Hey! [She kicks closer.]

Hey, are you alright? [Well, as alright as one can be given the circumstances.]

[In the Town Square, regarding the statue with its prophetic writings, stands an alicorn. Her wings are half-spread in a regal display state and her horn shines with a golden light that mirrors the orb she's conjured to better throw the faded words on the statue into relief.]

...Have I stumbled into a Daring Do novel somehow?

[Clementine can't believe her eyes. In front of her is this beautiful, rainbow coloured horse, with wings no less. Maybe if she moves slowly and quietly, she won't scare it off. She will be creeping up on her tiptoes, intending on petting the alicorn.]

Squall Leonhart | Final Fantasy VIII

[This is a dream. It has to be.

The brunette's only visible scar wrinkles as he watches the people scatter. That ghostly figure had vanished minutes ago, but Squall continued to stand in place--first things, first, he needs to check his equipment:]

(23 Firaga, 56 Blizzaga, 32 Aero, 21 Curaga, 4 Flare, 18 Water...)

[That's not too bad. It's not what he remembered having, last, though. Another red flag is up. Whoever brought him here, ...has the ability to take magic from people? Sighing, he continues:]

(Just Shiva...? Wait, that's not right!)

[Ifrit and Quezacotl are missing. Yet another red flag. Tensing, momentarily, he puts a hand to his face and sighs. Whatever the case, he has to remain calm. Freaking out will get him nowhere.

Sighing, he scans the area. Most of the people are either gone or speaking amongst one another.]

(First I need to figure out where I am. Then, if possible, I need to find my party...)

[Natsuno is not speaking to anyone, nor does he look that busy what with a small bag in hand, poking through it. He's looking for something, possibly a snack from the bottom of his bag. He doesn't notice Squall at first.]

[Hours after the ghost pirate had disappeared, the blond is frantically wandering the town. By his third time passing what he overheard being called a "hostel", he pauses in the alleyway and drops his hands to his knees.

Seriously, this is... not cool, at all. A somewhat scared expression appears on his face, and he can feel the worry beginning to weigh on his chest. There's been no sign of his family or friends. Not even Natsuno, who had been asleep on the floor next to him, last he remembered.

He isn't sure whether that's a good thing, or a bad thing. After several minutes, he forces a firm expression. It's too early to freak out, right?

Maybe he'll eventually find someone helpful! Sure, he's gotten nothing but dead-end responses, but... maybe there'll be someone? Tucking the strange book (that he has yet to open) in his back pocket, he lets out a sigh.]

Well, I guess I could head back to that fountain and start over...

[He gives a reluctant head scratch and turns around to start that way.]

Damn right she did.

[Natsuno has been in town for a few hours now, and although he's already visited and read the fountain, there's no reason to go there now. At least not for any real reason. He isn't too far though, he's looking in the window of a shop, cursing the fact it's closed.

He crosses his arms a little, squeezing his forearms in his hands. Out of annoyance he spins around to move on and then he catches sight of him, Tohru.

His breath catches and his heart pounds in his ears. What to do? He wasn't expecting to see him...he has to hide!]

I don't know what kind of sick joke this is, but it ends here.

[Scared? Who's scared? Certainly not Rin. He's pissed off, and that's the most you'll get out of him. Even if it is kind of creepy, watching the words he speaks appear in the journal.]

You've had your laugh. Tell your friends all about your lame prank. I bet you're really proud. But I'm going back, now.

Can't believe I'm talking to a -...

[Dammit, it wasn't supposed to record that as well. There's an audible tch before he snaps the journal shut.]


B. Jogging through town and harbor of Isla Empieza

[Having had a little time to adjust to the idea of being stuck here, Rin still doesn't know what to make of it. He has a goal, and he can't achieve that goal in this shithole of a pirate theme park. At the same time, he doesn't have a way back, either. Oh yeah, that mythical ruby, maybe. Is he really supposed to give up on his life's ambition to hop on a boat like -...

No way. No way; he's not giving up. If he's stuck here, he'll at least keep training the best he can. Right now that means jogging. He starts out at a reasonable pace, but at a certain point, he breaks; he keeps running faster, faster and faster until he can barely catch his breath, hoping to exhaust himself to the point where he can stop thinking about everything.]

[While strolling through the town casually, looking over the store windows for any supplies he may have missed stocking up on...]

[Rei turns to cross the small road without looking, nearly knocking into a running guy and dropping some shopping bags in the process. He immediately drops down to pick up his belongings.]

Oh, pardon me, this was all my fault for not looking before-- [Finally looks up to see if his victim had even stuck around for the apology, and immediately recognizes the red hair and pointy teeth.]

Rin-chan-san?!

[How... did he even get to this awful place...?! When? Why?! He doesn't remember falling asleep, much less being carried to this place! Was that terrifying ghost telling the truth?

Really, he had tried very, very hard to stay positive. It worked for several long hours, in fact!

Now, though? Have one rather miserable-looking blond making his way through the streets. The fear has long passed, by now--by now, he's moreso worried to death about his friends--and a certain pink bunny. More his friends, though. Once he finds out they're all safe, then he'll send them out to help look for Usa-chan he'll worry about finding the stuffed rabbit.

In the meantime, he is stopping practically every person to offer a thorough description of each person he's looking for.

After a while, he has to pause to flop down next to the fountain and draw his knees to his chest. He's pretty sure he's asked everyone, by now.

And he's hungry.

And thirsty.

And tired.

And ...just ...really wants to go home.

Most of all, though, he just wants to know if his friends are alright. His thoughts turn mainly to a certain very tall individual.

He can't help but think that, if Takashi were here, then everything would be okay... he wouldn't even be scared, because Takashi would know what to do. Letting out a sigh, he buries his face in his knees, feeling the stinging in his eyes grow stronger as the seconds went on. He just... needs a minute, before he continues the search.]

I don't care. [It's a very, very calm statement, but that says everything about how Kyouya feels. He has had very little sleep, and the man arguing with him about the price of casks of drinking water is slowly aggravating him to the point of snapping.] We need this water by tomorrow at noon. If it's not done to completion, you will not be paid at all.

That is our deal.

[A bit more than he wanted to do, but it would do. After all, it's effective. The man is glowering, yes, but he seems to be listening to Kyouya.

Who has not yet realized that there is a small, blond, older student he ought to have taken notice of by now.]

Amelia | Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones

The Market:

[And here she was thinking she'd seen it all. In hindsight, that was probably a bit arrogant on her part. She'd woken up here dazed and confused, feeling more out of place than when she'd first joined the Grado army and with not the slightest clue how she'd gotten here.

But by this point she's got the initial wandering around lost and confused out of the way and has settled on something resembling a course of action, and that's to figure out what resources are here to work with. Somehow she's woken up with what appears to be a decent amount of money, and making a note of what stores there might be to rely upon seems like as good a move as any. Maybe you run into her while she's simply wandering around and looking at various stalls, or maybe you find her when she's looking more closely at something? She does seem to be spending a fair bit of time examining the quality of the swords for sale, despite having a rather finely made one sheathed at her side.

That, or maybe you might catch her examining a (thankfully empty) pistol like she's never seen a flintlock in her life. Probably because she hasn't.]

Certainly didn't have any of these back home...

[There was arrogance, and then there was arrogance. Or more precisely, there was thinking you'd seen it all until you saw something you hadn't... and then there was being thrust into the strange and new and still strutting around like you owned the place, which was what Leonmitchelli was doing when she laid eyes on the young knight.

But aloof? Never that. The second she saw the girl staring cluelessly down the barrel of a pistol she yelled.]

DROP IT!

[...which resulted in more than a few items held by passerby dropping to the ground in a clatter, if only so they could cover their ears. Leonmitchelli was inhumanly loud.]

Ivan | Golden Sun

[A: The Market]

[Having already exhausted the first few things a normal person would do in this situation - that is, 1) panic, 2) spin around like an idiot, and 3) calm down and actually read the signs - Ivan is still no less confused than the moment he arrived in the square. Asking questions of the locals hasn't gotten him any information, apart from that they seem singularly unfazed by people appearing out of nowhere, so he's begun resorting to the obvious plan B... discreetly reading the minds of random passersby.

So yeah, if you happen to be passing by, what's on your mind? I'm sure there is no way this plan of his can possibly backfire.]


[B: Aboard Ship]

[Ivan's not entirely inexperienced as a sailor! It's just that most of the ships where he's from are completely different from these. As such, he's been spending most of his "on-duty" time getting rope burns, and most of his free time trying to learn how to actually tie knots. At the moment he can be found in the ship's mess, sitting at a table with a short length of rope that he's attempting to tie in a particular way.]

There's got to be an easier way to do this...

[Ivan's efforts were noted by the resident sailor on board, who appreciated the attempts even though they were failures. The other highly inexperienced sailor on board was so loud and prone to complaining that Piers sometimes wondered why he didn't just toss the kid overboard...but, that would stupid.

Piers glanced up from his own work at Ivan's question and offered a sheepish smile in reply.]

That would be the Lash Pebble. Besides that, there aren't many more options other besides what you're doing right now.

[It was unfortunate too. The Lash Pebble was one of the few things around that could help inexperienced adepts learn the basics. Once more, he rued the fact that he couldn't find it.]

Terrific. This was not the sort of 'fun' I wanted today. Why is it things are never easy, finding some stone to get home?

[Zoey has been much calmer than she was when she arrived and is trying to make herself useful. She din't exactly like the idea of being a pirate but she has no choice so far.]

[Axis wakes up slumped against the edge of the fountain and feeling a little groggy. He groans, holding his head and glancing around at his surroundings. He's confused, he doesn't remember drinking THAT much or leaving the Teahouse.

Where is he?

Turning slightly to glance over his shoulder at the weather-beaten mermaid doesn't help to make any sort of connection. So he'll push himself to standing, a little wobbly still and grumbling about how pissed Atros is gonna be at him. How the-WHY the fuck is he out here? How hasn't anyone come and got him yet? Shit he's going to bitch someone out for leaving him here. This wasn't funny!

He'll set off through the town, rounding a corner and expecting to see something familiar. When he doesn't the panic starts to set in. So he'll pick up his pace, walking briskly to see around the next street. There're inn's and taverns and homes but nothing looks familiar at all.

He starts to run, heart beating fast and eyes frantically searching for anything that can lead him back to the Teahouse. He's lost, alone and frankly, getting a little scared. He ends up running through most of the town before coming to the Harbor. He stops, stooping to lean on his knees and try to catch his breath. Wide, golden eyes slowly lift to the sea and he swallows raggedly as the realization hits him.

He's not home. He has no idea where he is or how he got here but this isn't his town. He'll straighten up only to slump back against a wall and sink slowly to the street. He doesn't know what he's going to do. Granted, he knows he has enough skill to get by but he didn't want to have to turn-tricks. He was better than that. He'd been given a home, he got away from all this, from begging on the street. He was pampered like a king and now this?

Was this some sort of punishment? He may have acted like a spoiled brat at the Teahouse but that didn't mean he didn't want to be there. That was his life. His job, his people... He didn't want to be alone for as tough as he always acted. For as much of a pain he could be, or the attitude he gave Atros, he always bit it back when he was threatened to be kicked out. He knew he had it good. Too good maybe.

He swallowed down the cold fear gripping his throat and tried to sort himself, to figure out a plan. He wasn't much good at that sort of thing. Planning. It wasn't his forte to think shit through. He was confident enough in himself he'd figure something out eventually but... man. What could he do?

Rebuild the gem
And whatever ye wish will be.

Where did that come from? Why was it stuck in his head?

Axis is just going to pick himself up and slowly wander back to an inn where he can drink himself a little stupid. Feel free to pick up a sad, lonely whore!]

[She dodges, losing control of her sack. Oranges, limes, and lemons spill everywhere, but hey, she's still on her feet!]

1: Cabin Boy

[So Hubert isn't keen on this whole "suddenly bamfed away from home and no way back" thing, but...he is pretty excited about actually being on a ship! As long as it's not storming like blazes outside, he'll probably be wandering around above and below deck to familiarize himself with his new home. If you're engaged in something sailor-worthy like, idk, messing with rigging or doing navigation or sailing the ship or something else that I've left out because what is knowing about life on the sea, Hubert's probably not too far away watching you do it. Depending on what it is, he may want to learn it himself...or he might just want to learn what it is and then leave it to better-suited individuals.

If it is storming like blazes, Hubert will be huddling below deck under blankets and hoping desperately that the wailing winds, roaring rain, and rolling thunder will stop any moment now. Someone please distract him from the chaos.]

2: Landlubbing Adventurer

[Gosh, it's weird to be on solid ground again after so much time spent on a ship. Whether Hubert wants to go exploring this new island or run back to the deck, however, is entirely up to what kind of island he's arrived on.]

[The ship lurches as heavy black waves lash against its frame. In the midst of the storm, Asbel Lhant holds on for dear life, whooping back to the howling wind. Of course, after maybe ten or fifteen minutes, when the storm hasn't shown any signs of calming down and has actually started to get worse, even Asbel begins to get a little nervous. Just a little. And besides, he hasn't seen Hubert in a while - he really should check up on him. Knowing his brother, he's probably hiding somewhere and trying not to wet his pants.]

[Asbel half-descends, half-stumbles below and pushes open the door.]

Hey, Hubert! Are you down here?

[If he doesn't hear anything at first, he'll shuffle a little farther into the room, sounding just a bit worried.] Um. Hubert? H-hey, come on...

☼ Land, Ho! ☼

[It's been days since they set out to sea and as exciting as it all was, Ven was aching to see land again. Not because he didn't like the ocean, he just wanted to see what was out there. Here he was on this whole new world with so many things to do, so many places to visit, so many islands to explore!

Leaning over the rails of the ship, Ven squints as he looks out over the vast ocean and he grins.]

Hey! I think I see an island!

[Well, that's welcome news for the shipwright-turned-pirate! For all the time in his life he's spent around ships, he's never spent anywhere near this much time actually sailing on them. Dry ground? That sounds like a welcome prospect, so long as the ground is actually dry and not actively trying to eat them. This place has far too many crazy islands. It's a lot like the Grand Line, in that way. It's familiar.]
